And now that we have the internet, gift lists are more convenient than ever for both celebrators and buyers. Even large items can be added, as the cost can be split between several buyers, each of whom sets their own contribution.
To make a new list, you’ll need an email address and a date for the event. Click the register now link and enter your details plus a password so that only you can edit it. Next, you’ll be taken to the personal details page; fill that in, and continue down the page, selecting the number of gift cards you’d like and entering a message your guests will get. If you want people to be notified by email, enter their addresses in the notifications section. You can also set a password so that only invited people can view your list. Once you’ve saved your personal details, you can start selecting your items either by browsing through the categories or using search. Remember to put in the quantity. Finally, publish your list, and everyone will be notified. It is that simple!
Click the wedding and gift list button to enter the starting page. If you’re a gift buyer looking for a list, there are several ways of finding it. First, you can use the details from the email notification or card if they have been selected by the list builder. An alternative way is to put in a known surname or forename or search for the date, if known, or the event type. Click “Find a list” and if the one you’re after appears in the list, click Select. Now you’ll see the items the list maker has chosen, as well as a box where you can enter a value of gift vouchers. Go through the list, add the item(s) you want to your basket, and finally go to the checkout where you can pay for the goods with your credit or debit card. The gifts are usually delivered to the celebrator’s address on a date specified by them. If the event is a wedding, this will usually be after the honeymoon.
As the owner of the list you can log in at any time to change personal details or add and remove items, as well as checking what has already been bought. Click the wedding and gift list button and log in with the email and password you selected.
